Throughout the year, students intentionally develop six essential character traits represented by the acronym MUSLIM:
M – Manners
U – Ummah Care
S – Self-Control
L – Live Truth
I – Integrity
M – Muslim Adab
These six traits become the foundation of a child's character and are revisited throughout the year in increasingly meaningful ways.
Students grow through the same six character traits using six learning cycles.
Each cycle builds upon the one before it.
Cycle 1 – Knowledge
Students learn and understand each character trait.
Cycle 2 – Awareness
Students learn to recognize opportunities to practice each trait.
Cycle 3 – Action
Students intentionally practice the traits through daily choices.
Cycle 4 – Perseverance
Students continue choosing beautiful character, even when it is difficult.
Cycle 5 – Leadership
Students encourage and inspire others through their example.
Cycle 6 – Identity
Students begin to see Husn ul Khuluq as part of who they are as Muslims.
Each Monday, students begin a new week with one intention connected to the current trait and cycle.
That intention becomes the focus of classroom learning, daily reflection, and encouragement throughout the week.
